Packing tips for moving totes

  • Pack each tote so one person can safely lift it or slide it onto a dolly.
  • Split heavy items like books, tools, dishes and pantry goods across several totes.
  • Keep heavier totes at the bottom of a stack and lighter ones on top.
  • Label with removable labels or painter tape, never permanent marker.
  • Don’t pack hazardous materials, liquids that can spill, perishable food, or valuables you should keep with you.
